The Briar Patch is more than a children’s bookstore. For the last 30 years, it has inspired and delighted generations of readers of all ages in Bangor, Maine. Specializing in children's books and creative playthings from birth through high school, The Briar Patch also carries grownup books including fiction, cookbooks, titles on parenting and resources for teachers. Games, crafts, puzzles, toys and a wide selection of Playmobil fill the store with something for everyone. We also host regular book signings, storytimes and other events.
