Zookeeper Fred loves snakes, but his favorite is a tiny green snake named Vern. Vern is sneaky and constantly tries to hide in Fred’s lunch. When Vern gets loose in the zoo and lands atop a boy’s head, it’s trouble! A few citizens demand that all the snakes must go, and the Mayor closes the zoo until City Council decides what to do. Andrea Beaty was raised in southern Illinois in a town so small that she knew everybody and their pets. She grew up loving Nancy Drew and then eventually progressed to Agatha Christie books and the classics. Her secret ambition is to star in a Broadway musical, and she is often tempted to break into song and dance at very odd moments.
Curtis Michael Holland is an experienced audiobook narrator. Canadian-Greek, African, and Indigenous (Blackfoot and Cherokee), he comes from a rich mosaic of storytellers. He also happens to have lived around the world. His international journey began once he earned his theatre and education degrees and moved to China.
