Rüdiger Paulsen wurde 1950 geboren. Er hat Sozialpädagogik studiert und als Kindergärtner gearbeitet. 1986 gründete er das Kinder- und Puppentheater Flügeli Rosinchen, 1991 das Puppenburger Turmtheater. Seit 1997 ist er Lehrer für Luftballonkunst, seit 2005 existiert das Theaterbüro Paulsen. Während seiner Laufbahn schrieb er schon immer Theaterstücke und Bilderbücher für Kinder und Erwachsene.
