You have been learning Russian for a while now. Used a language app (or five). Watched a few YouTube instructional videos. Even took a few private online lessons with a tutor.

You want to read in Russian, but finding appropriate material is difficult.

The solution is not to dumb down the text, but to shorten it. Way shorter. Think 2 minute movie trailer instead of 2 hour full length movie.

This way, you get the benefit of feeling accomplished about finishing the text and increasing your vocabulary, but in a fraction of the time.

To this end, this book features 11 tiny tales, each of them only a couple of pages. They range from a police officer in a cheesy romance, to a supernatural encounter in the office, to a space captain who lost all his men fighting alien insects.

This is followed by a much longer fantasy story about a knight and a priest saving the world from shadow demons. Each chapter follows the same short length format.
