Where Books and People Meet
Bruce and Laura DeLaney opened Rediscovered Books in September of 2006 to create a place where people could find books and conversation. Since then, Rediscovered Books has grown into the Treasure Valley's downtown community bookstore, providing great reads for the Treasure Valley area from Boise to Caldwell, author events, and an expert staff to help match customers with the right books. Rediscovered Books is active in engaging in conversations about interesting books, and we are always ready and excited to share our passion for reading. Rediscovered Books supplies books to many of the Treasure Valley's local school classrooms and libraries, and we are dedicated to helping get books in the hands of children in Idaho as well as other community organizations. Rediscovered Books also has over 30 book clubs registered at our store and hosts a monthly virtual Human Rights book club. Rediscovered Books also hosts a variety of events, from more traditional in-store readings and signings to a wide array of virtual events bringing authors live to your living rooms. We are passionate about bringing quality authors to the Treasure Valley because we believe this is a place with fervent readers who are excited about books.Rediscovered Books: Rebecca G

“Stripped of her title and power, Jude has been exiled to the mortal world after yet another betrayal that has left her with a broken heart and no real plan on how to move forward. Then comes Taryn, her twin sister, in need of Jude's help in order to save her life. Against better judgement, Jude agrees to go to Elfhame in Taryn's place only to find that the land she was exiled from is on the verge of war. Thrust into the very center of political machinations that endanger not only herself, but...”

“The best thing about this book is the promise on the cover – a tale told in ten blocks. Each chapter is titled as a different street in the neighborhood with one character in an interlocking network of stories that unfold into something bigger the longer you read – or, in my case, listen to the incredible full-cast audiobook. Look Both Ways is the perfect blend of hysterical and tear-jerking. Jason Reynolds proves irrefutably that kids, regardless of age or circumstance, live more co...”

“In fitting fashion, I first read The Ocean at the End of the Lane several years ago and only just revisited it to find that my memories of it were totally different than what I was listening to. Neil Gaiman perfectly captures the trials of being young; the terrible and sometimes absurdist powerlessness of being a small person in a big person's world. But, at the same time, he reintroduces all of us to the childhoods we do or don't remember and the roads we've forgotten we once follow...”

“A terrific romantic adventure with a strong female protagonist who is a kick-butt ship-mate and diver. I'm ready for book #2!”

“Lisa Kleypas never disappoints! She drops you right into the Ravenels' world with the last single member of the family, Cassandra. Switching between her and Tom Severance's perspective, the tale unfolds to reveal an unbidden romance that, once sparked, lights a fire that refuses to go out. I loved the first audiobook in this series, Cold Hearted Rake, and thoroughly enjoyed the last in equal measure. ”

“Vern is fleeing an abusive cult that targets Black people. As their body mutates into something entirely new, Vern must face the past before they can move towards their future. This book is many things: an adult fairytale, a Southern gothic horror, a thriller that twists and turns. A testament to forging pain into strength, this book is unlike anything else you’ve read.”
